This list of hardy aroids was compiled by the members of Aroid-l (along with a few others) and is an effort to further our understanding and use of aroids. This list is not complete, as many hardy aroids have not yet been reported to us. In addition, many aroids are tested for hardiness each year, so this list will continue to grow.

In order to use this list, please keep these things in mind. The plants listed below are not guaranteed to be hardy in the Zones listed. Many species listed have many cultivated varities. Some may do well in very cold enviroments, while other varieties of the same species may prefer warmer climates. When possible, try to buy plants that are locally grown (or grown under similar conditions) to ensure that they are well suited to your climate. In addition to temperatures, other factors influence a plants survival. This list should give you a very good idea of what can be grown in your area, and hopefully inspire you to grow more Aroids. If you have information to add to this list, please let us know.
